My name is DALLAS and I've been taking pictures since I was old enough to hold a camera. It wasn't until fairly recently that I began to exhibit my work and share my view of people and events throughout the world with others. My Grandfather Reuben Perry Sr. was a world traveler and he was proud of the pictures that he took. That was probably what sparked my interest in both travel and photography. He visited over 50 countries, all 50 states and more of the world than I knew existed before he passed in 2002. What he left me were his cameras, his photographs, his words of wisdom and a Bible. What he didn't leave me was his talent, but he assured me that I had the gift. At this point I can only pray that he was right.
As much as I would love to tell you that my work is meant to inspire thought and challenge the imagination, it mostly consist of images of people captured posing for me. My favorite works are of people caught off guard or not even aware of my presence. I'm motivated and driven to find beauty in everything, even the mundane. Beauty is not always easy to find and it isn't always there but I will continue to look. Much of the work that I've done is from my travels to entertainment events throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Many of the people that you will find in my photographs are friends that I've made over the years and have asked to pose for me or absolute strangers that I caught at just the right moment.
Please take the time to access the GALLERY and to examine my photographic work. This website has been a long time in the making and it will continue to grow over the years. I hope you will bookmark this page and stop back to see how I've grown as well. Please don't hesitate to drop me an e-mail if you would like to comment on my images or if you have any questions about my work. I look forward to hearing from you.
